I hired Christine Eng to be my “day of event” planner for my 60th birthday party, held at a private club for approximately 100 people and with all the facets of a wedding reception: live musical performances, DJ and dancing, food, wine, cake, furniture rental, the works. How I thought I could do this alone and still enjoy my own party (which I had to throw for myself) is beyond me; thank goodness for Christine! She coordinated with the club and all the vendors, kept in touch daily, created a timeline which made everything run like clockwork, and even prevented a temperamental singer from walking out!
